About Me

After working in the professional world for most of my adult life, I’ve retired to become a full-time mother.  This new career has proven to be the most challenging one I’ve undertaken so far, and I anticipate that it will probably remain at the top of the list.

This blog is a collection of all the “experiments” that I undertake as a mother, diy-er, and amateur artist.  My husband and I are working hard to make ourselves more self-reliant, so many of my projects will likely relate to those kinds of things.  By self-reliant I mean producing and preserving our own food, figuring out how to fix things, making clothes or toys, etc.
